Yesterday evening there was a big accident near my home and I read about it in the Estonian newspapers. Then I read the comments- they were about English people driving on the lefhandside and just with a bad tone towards English. And then I added a comment that I live near the place and am worried about my friends because they use the motorway the accident happened on, quite often. And then came all the negative comments about me- that I dont care about Estonia and my nationality, am basically a traitor.
And I still want to believe that Estonia is the best country in the world? After receiving comments like this from the people from my own nationality- they just comment, not knowing the background. They don't know what I do here, how long I am here for, and why I am here. They just comment. Stupid.
We're supposed to be a nationality that sticks together, but I don't see that. It's just the fact that when you are abroad, then you are betraying us.
Those people who commented, they don't know how much I actually miss Estonia, how I plan my trip home every day for the past 2 months already. They know nothing about me and what I'm here for. But they are all just commenting. Just accusing.
How should I be proud of my own nationality when my own nationality is more cruel than lots of others I know?

Maria, sa ei saa kuidagi teada, et teised rahvused pole sellised. Ja mitte püüdes neid inimesi kuidagi õigustada, mainiksin siiski, et inimeste massiline lahkumine siit riigist paremate elutingimuste otsingul, muudab siiajäänud paljud skeptiliseks. Sattusin jälle lugema ühe artikli kommentaare, kus olid valdavalt kommenteerinud välismaal elavad eestlased... ja see oli samavõrra õel ja kibe. Ära võta isiklikult. Peaksid ju teadma, kui palju sitta lendab internetis ringi. Kindlasti on meie hulgas palju idioote, aga kus ei oleks? Ja internetis paari lause peale jäänud mulje võib olla hoopis vale... ometi tekitada selle lugejas piisavalt tugeva soovi midagi öelda... kuidagi elada end välja...
Maria, sa tead ju ise, miks sa Eestit armastad. Sa oled siin olnud ja näinud siinseid inimesi. Midagi ei ole muutunud selle ajaga kui sa ära olid. Inimesed on samasugused üldises plaanis. Sa ju näed ka seda, et ka Inglismaa inimestel on omad miinused ja plussid. Ei ole ideaalseid inimesi ja ei ole ideaalseid rahvusi. Sellised olukorrad kindlasti tekitavad tunde, kas inimesed ongi sellised... ma mõistan. Aga samamoodi nagu nemad ei tea sinu situatsiooni, ei tea sina tegelikult neid...
Meie oleme siin ja igatseme sind ja oleme uhked, et sa püüad oma unistusi :) Ja meie teeme Eestimaa sulle kalliks. Igasugused internetitõprad võid ära unustada :P

Lihtsalt need minu pihta suunatud kommentaarid ajasid kopsu üle maksa. See oli tüüpiline eestlaslik suhtumine mida igal pool kommentaariumides näha saab.
Ahjaa, ma panin oma täisnime ja siis üks inimene kommenteeris, et mul ei tasuks oma perekonnanime kasutada- et liiga halva mainega ja soovis lõpuks edu ka.
Kusjuures, enamus eestlasi häbenevad neid meie rahvuskaaslasi, kes anonüümseid solvanguid internetti postitavad.
Ilmseid ei vaevu paljud isegi mõtlema, mida klaviatuuril tippida tahavad.
Siin on hästi palju inimesi, kes sinust hoolivad. Ja siin on veel suurem ports inimesi, keda sa veel ei tea, aga kellel on palju potentsiaali saada sama tähtsaks, kui need keda juba tead. :)
