They're Red Hot

0

Chili Peppers concert is somethind I definetely have to write about.
Me, Kerts, Kirke, Liis and Jens were waiting about an hour before the gates were opened, in front of them. To my big surprise, there wasn't a long line of fans waiting.
As we got in, we found ourselves a place right next to the fence that was separating the VIP area and the usual area. And we were nearly in the middle as well. So we waited there. I saw a guy who I met at the folk as well and we spoke for couple of minutes.
There were two warm-up bands this time. The first one sounded more like noise to me- they were completely unknown Estonian band called Elephants from Neptune. At least we had never heard of them.
But the second warming band- The Vaccines- oh I loved them. I alrady had listened to some of their songs and they were really good. And we danced with Kerttu through their whole concert. Brilliant!
Then there was a big break before RHCP actually came on the stage. Before all the concerts started, Flea went past the VIP-zone with a bicycle and no-one noticed. Epic fail for our fans.... :) And Chad Smith was sitting on the main stage, just watching everything before the concert started. Nice to see the band before they get on the stage.

From the organizational point of view- in my opinion the VIP-zone was too big and there was loads of empty space. Looked a bit fail.
Anyway, as soon as the RHCP got on the stage, the audience woke up and started to rock. It wasn't even close to the hardcore standing-next-to-the-fence as I was expecting, but it was rather mild pushing. But that made the concert more enjoyable. You just didn't have to fight for your life in front like when we were in the Franz Ferdinand or Biffy Clyro concert.
Josh was pretty good, I loved the fact the band did loads of jamming. RHCP were as energetic as you would think they should be (considering their age). I loved the encore because it was really nice and long and Flea said such nice things about Estonia and Chad promised to come back. Some lucky people also got the drumsticks....
Even the rain dind't stop us! We were enjoying the concert definetely. I have to compare the MUSE concert I saw last year and this one and I can't tell which one was better. I think they are even. And they definetely are the best concerts I've been to.

That money was well spent.

Life back in England

0

I'm at the moment talking to my good friend in England with whom I went to the gym every day. She just told me that she, Timi and couple more of my friends who we got to know during my year in the UK, all went out on a girls' night! Gosh, I used to be part of that gang. And now I can't be there with them any more. One would think that time makes things better but it doesn't seem to work for me. I miss my people over there. And the gym. And it still damn hurts. Especially not being able to hang out with my friends. And not hear Timi's lovely accent :) And all the local accents. I think not even a day doesn't go past, when I don't think about England. And some deja vu- I was flipping through my old posts and looked at the one I made exactly a year ago. It was about autumn breeze. The funny thing is that today I thought for the first time this year, that autumn is coming. The same time last year I felt the same...

The future

0

In the past couple of weeks I have started to think more and more about what I'm gonna do when I graduate from the uni next spring. It's not that far away anymore, is it? So far I thought that I will go to Denmark for sure, to do the development instructor program over there that takes me also to Africa and lasts for 2 yrs. Right now Im unsure. I don't know any more. My other option would be to go to Australia to work through working holiday visa. For a year. I could also continue my work in the village. Or continue my studies in Estonia- maybe special studies? And open uni? I really dont know any more. I even had a look at the universities in Scotland. Didn't get too exited about it. But the thing is- its about time for me to decide as I have to apply for the program in Denmark or visa for Australia soon. But I just can't decide. Besides all - I'm gonna take Danish language course in the autumn, but there's not actually much point in taking it, if I won't go to Denmark straight after school as I will forget everything I've learnt. I have to decide in the next couple of weeks, so that I do something with the Danish classes I'm gonna take. I would have a lot more free time if I cancelled those classes. I really don't what to do. Some people tell me one thing, some tell the other. Furthermore- the things I thought to be impossible about me, don't seem to be too impossible any more. I have changed a lot during those past couple of weeks. And I'm more confused than ever. I don't know even myself what I want and what I don't want any longer. Maybe my super-amazing Eurotrip that I will start next week, will help me.
